The specific project concerns a renovation of an apartment building with the aim of renting apartments to students of the center of the city. The existing apartments are divided into smaller ones, following a design logic of condensation and maximum utilization of the limited spatial reserve. The interior layout is designed in a way that allows for airy ventilation and lighting. The outdoor area of the roof becomes accessible to all tenants, as a common gathering place and is planted with trees, thus forming an isolated small garden. The reduction of the dimensions of the houses in combination with the integration of the natural element through the plantings, aim at minimizing the future environmental footprint of the building.
