The main intention was to connect the facilities of the former Ladopoulou Paper Factory with the adjacent port, transforming the entire complex into a hub that will be addressed both to the citizens of Patras and to the passengers of the port. Essentially, the creation of a multi-purpose cultural and leisure center is proposed, which will have shops, dining and leisure areas and will be a multi-purpose space where someone can spend a few hours before or after their trip, like an airport terminal.

The recent decision of the OSE (Hellenic Railways Organisation) to plan the train terminal from Athens on Aktis Dimaion Avenue, between the port and the Ladopoulou property, effectively creating a transportation hub in the area, further reinforces the need for such a space in the area.

Through the integration of port, railway station and Ladopoulou complex, a central point (hub) is created for the city of Patras, for locals and visitors. But at the same time a transport hub that includes arrival / departure by car, ship and train. An entry / exit point to and from Greece, connecting it to the rest of Europe.
